The field is an extension of it—where life unfolds, and football stays real,” says creative director @SamirBertoli. Our global campaign for the Wave Prophecy Morelia Neo was named “The Game of Quebrada” and pays tribute to grassroots football — played on dirt fields and fueled by collective passion — connecting with the streets of São Paulo and the city’s creative authenticity. “I wanted to showcase the power of São Paulo’s periphery culture, where I come from, without leaning on stereotypes. I brought affection, memory, and our own aesthetic, built with care and truth. I already had some ideas, and they aligned perfectly with Mizuno’s mission for me. And doing this as a woman — I grew up in the periphery, now I’m 30 — as the creative director of a global campaign, is also about claiming a space that still needs to be more ours”, says audiovisual & creative director @Correrua_. From this intersection of eras, products, and styles, the Wave Prophecy Morelia Neo is born. “Máximo respeito a quem veio, e um forte abraço a quem virá.” Launching globally tomorrow, June 27th.
